Touch Technologies is pleased to supply one of the largest Retailer’s in the UK market, and leading pioneer of RFID adoption with a new RFID hand-held.

The solution is a long range UHF RFID reader, that reads from 0-10m with ease, and runs on Windows OS.

The challenge was to read up to 500 tags quickly and securely, that were attached to uniform laundry in huge bags. This ‘read’ acts as confirmation of what was collected by their dry-cleaning specialists who visit all their stores throughout the UK and Ireland, in a fast and seamless transaction.

Below is an exclusive video of the solution in action, in an early testing phase. In an impressive display, the reader manages to read 323 tags in approximately 12 seconds.
