Understanding RFID Technology
RFID stands for Radio Frequency IDentification. This acronym refers to micro electronic devices that consist of a small chip and an antenna. RFID capability is the use of radio waves to read and capture information stored on an RFID tag or inlay attached to an object. An RFID tag can be detected from up to several feet away, and does not need to be within direct line-of-sight of the reader to be tracked unlike Barcode.
